Aurora takes a break! This week’s challenge at Simon says stamp has the theme “Coffee and cream”. That made me think about this stamp that I bought a while back and have never used, What a shame! The image is from SCACD and made by Victoria Case. Copic markers were used to color the image.
The background paper with the straws is self made. A piece of water color paper was made cream colored by rubbing Distress ink on it (Pumice Stone). The straw stamp was inked with three colors of Distress ink and sprayed with Pearl Glimmer mist before it was applied to the paper. It gives the image a water color effect and shine that is not that visible in the image.
The flowers and paper ribbon were also sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Coffee shop and gold).
The background cardstock is bronze with black core. The leaf is cobber colored.
Lastly, all edges were distressed using Tim Holtz’ distressing tool.
WOW! This is gorgeous, Ann Kristin! I love all the inking and distressing and the image is so sweet...she is perfect for this challenge! Thanks so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Challenge and best of luck with the Simon Says DT call too!
