Snow Day

It is time for a new challenge at Creative Card Crew and the theme this time is "Snow Day". The card above is my contribution. I had such fun making this one!

All the snowflakes were made using Spellbinder dies and then decorated in different ways:

• Silver embossing
• Shabby white embossing enamel from Stampendous!
• Silver crushed glass glitter from Stampendous!
• Blue distress ink rubbed on using a foam applicator on white cardstock
• Blue glimmer mist

I used the white embossing enamel on small snowflakes on the background as well. There is gold glitter in the enamel. I love this stuff! I believe it is a pretty new product.

The border on top was punched using a Martha Steward snow flake border punch.

The rosette was made using a Tim Holtz die and silver Stickles was added.

Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium collection contains the blue paper that was used in the background.

The big blue flower and the white twirly straw were bought in the Magnolia store in Sweden. Yes, you read right! I visited the original Magnolia store in Sweden this December. And yes, I bought MANY stamps. My mother and I felt we were in paradise! :-)

Christmas lights

 
I hope your Christmas spirit has arrived because Christmas is here! The challenge this time at Creative Card Crew is ‘Christmas lights’. The sponsor this time is Robyn's fetish. They sell awesome digital stamps and papers.

My card is a step card decorated as a dresser. This is a technique I learnt from my mother. She is the best mother in the world by the way!!!
The quill and candle image is from Robyn’s Fetish and I colored it using distress ink.
The paper is from graphic 45 – Christmas Emporium collection.

Tis the season

Christmas is getting close and it is time for a new challenge at Creative Card Crew! The theme this fortnight is Christmas – Tis the season. So head over and submit your lovely creations.

My card is another card using paper and dies from Graphic 45. The collection is called Christmas Emporium. Edges have been distressed with brown ink. The ends of the horizontal banner at the bottom have been curved using a pencil to give a little dimension. The tear at the top is another fun effect I like to use these days. :-)

Blue and white Christmas

   

This Pringles can has already been filled with goodies and given to my parents as a pre Christmas gift.

A bunch of snow flakes were cut using a Cricut machine. Some of them where cut from Core’dination paper and sanded – giving a darker blue outline around the lighter blue snow flake. In addition I used:

• Felt snow flakes
• Bling
• Clear tag, dry embossed and decorated with a sticker (last picture)
• Snowman stamp colored using Color Copic markers
• Edge distressing tool
• Pumice stone distress ink (giving edges an old look)
• Ribbon
• Paper flowers
• Stickers

Present

This cute stamp is from Magnolia and was colored using distress ink. There is glitter on the bow, but that is hard to see on the photo. The sleigh was cut from grunge board and embossed with gold.

Winter girl

This Christmas card is kind of vintage style. Papers have been distressed and edges colored. The girl is colored with distress ink.

Brown and cream

A brown and cream colored Christmas card. The snow flake was cut from grunge board, embossed with gold, and sanded. ‘God Jul’ means ‘Merry Christmas’.

Green Christmas

 

Here are three cards that I made based on the same stamp. The top card and the coloring is strongly inspired by a card I saw at Archivers.

Finally! A decorated Pringles can! I have been fascinated by these for a while, but have not gotten around to decorate one until now. I am submitting this to the following challenges:

Vintage Christmas cards 2010

A few weeks ago I attended the vintage Christmas card class at Archivers. We made the cards below in the class so I am not taking credit for these designs.

This golden brown card is my favorite! Edge distressing, layers, brown embossing of sentiment, ribbon, blue and honey distress ink, grunge paper (thin chip board) embossed with gold (flourish), green flower soft (trees).

The flower above was made from grunge paper that was covered with red paper, diecut and then dry embossed.

The numbers above were made glossy by using Glossy accents. (Hard to see on the picture, but gives a nice effect.)

The snowman was stamped using white Dabber paint.

Make and take at Archivers

Make and take is fun! The pail above cost $5 dollars and Archivers provided all the supplies and instructor help.

 

The card above and the tag below was free. The tag was embossed and white dabber paint was filled in the grooves. The goal was to make it look like snow behind the threes. Cool, huh? In addition, we used the edge distress tool and distress ink a lot.

Recycled Christmas

The pages in this tiny album is made out of toilet paper rolls! After the rolls were flattened they were glued so that they would stay flat.

“God Jul” means “Merry Christmas” (Norwegian). The album has been entered in the challenge Sukkersott Challenge #99.

A little bit of everything was used:

• Christmas papers from BoBunny, My Minds Eye, Basil and more
• Tim Holtz edge distress tool
• Pumice stone distress ink for all edges (after they were torn up with the distress tool)
• Dark brown embossing powder
• Dabber paint for snowflake on front page (very light color)
• Various stamps
• Wood grain embossing folders
• Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge for green letters
• Copic markers for coloring of the snow man
• Flower soft (green and red) for wreath
• Ribbons

Winter wonderland

Christmas is getting close. At least for us cardmakers! A lot of card to be made in little time. Here is a winter wonderland card. I don’t remember the make of the stamps, but they are all part of the same package. I have submitted it to the Fuzzy and fancy Friday challenge # 22: Let’s see you winter wonderland.

Musical Christmas card

No, there is no music coming from this card, but it does have some notes on it! This card is from the 2009 season.
