Classic Halloween

Here is a simple Halloween card where I used a Halloween ephemera from Gecko Galz. The papers are from Graphic45 (Join the circus).

Wicked witch from the west

 

   

This frame has been lying around for years and I decided it was about time it came to good use. I had left over paper from a class I attended at Scrapfest: Follow the yellow brick road by Graphic 45. A fun class! The paper is from the Wizard of Oz and Halloween in Wonderland collections.

Some supplies and techniques:

• Tear edges and ink with brown
• Distress edges with your nails/scissor/tool
• Clear crackle paint (here used on letters,ghost, stamp)
• Ink layers of ribbon and lace
• Pop dots
• Fussy cut shapes (used on witch, ghost, stockings)

Distressed Halloween card

On this card I was using techniques I learnt from Tim Holtz at Scrapfest. What an inspiration that class was! Wow.

The background was distressed with three colors Distress Ink: Wild honey, weathered wood and peeled paint.

The stamps are from Tattered Angels. The spider was covered in Glossy accents to make him “pop”. The ribbon and metal flower are from Graphic 45.

Black and orange

Halloween is right around the corner and here is one of my new cards.

The background was made by embossing the chandelier in white and distress the background using Distress Ink (Honey and weathered wood). The chandelier in the front was embossed in black. The same colors plus fired brick were rubbed on the foreground using small sponges.

Halloween Tilda

This card was made for the Totally Tilda – Halloween challenge.

The card was made from a brown lunch bag. The Tim Holtz edge distressing tool was used on every layer of paper.

Halloween pumpkin

This card was for a display of Gothicized Italics at the Houston Calligraphy Guild. It was also meant for my mother afterwards, but I forgot it at the meeting. So I hope one of the other calligraphers found a use for it! :-)

This is what I used:

• Black polka dot card stock
• Black paper flowers
• Pumpkin stamp
• Distress Ink for coloring
• Ribbon
• Orange stickles
• Purple stripy paper
• Orange “bling”
• Ink and nib for the calligraphy

Twilight

Ah… a Twilight fan cannot complain when she get to make a Halloween card like this! This digital stamp of Edward and Bella (Twilight, the movie) is from Spesch stamps. For those of you, who do not know this movie, might get confused over why a young and lovely couple is on a Halloween card. Well, he is a vampire…
