Paper bag card – tutorial

How to turn a paper bag into a card… with rooms for gift cards and letters

1. Place the bag flat on the table and fold it in half

2. Glue or staple ribbon in place

3. Cut paper to fit and glue in place

4. Staple bottom of bag to make a gift card pocket. You can also punch small holes on the sides and create the pocket using brads.

 

5. Decorate the card with flowers, die cuts, sentiments and more.

Paper bags come in multiple sizes. Make sure that you measure the bag you are going to decorate before you cut any paper.

This card was made by folding a paper lunch bag. All edges were distressed by using Tim Holtz’ edge distresser. The girl (Magnlolia) were colored using Copic markers. These markers were used to put som ecolor on the lettering as well. The heart on the last page was dry embossed and sanded/distressed (Core’dinations paper).

Easter with a buckle

  

This card was made by folding a paper lunch bag. All edges were distressed by using Tim Holtz’ edge distresser. The butterflies on page 2 was made by sanding (distressing) the green paper with metal dies underneath. The Easter basket was stamped by my husband! He came into the hobby room and said that he had to stamp something :-) The basket and the girl (hAnglar) were colored using Copic markers.

Halloween Tilda

This card was made for the Totally Tilda – Halloween challenge.

The card was made from a brown lunch bag. The Tim Holtz edge distressing tool was used on every layer of paper.
